Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Urology (Cape Cod, MA) Job at Urology Associates of Cape Cod, Yarmouth Port, MA

  • Urology Associates of Cape Cod
  • Yarmouth Port, MA

Job Description

Urology Associates of Cape Cod · Yarmouth Port and North Falmouth, MA · Full-Time · Monday–Friday

Join an established Advanced Practice Provider team in the Cape's largest urology group, with full physician backup, dedicated clinical support, and a schedule that lets you live where you vacation.

Urology Associates of Cape Cod is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Our APPs practice to the full scope of their license, managing their own panel of patients in clinic, performing office procedures, and sharing weekday-morning hospital rounding at Cape Cod Hospital. Experienced urology APPs are preferred; motivated new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered and will receive structured onboarding with our physicians.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • See new and established patients in clinic for the full range of general urology: lower urinary tract symptoms and BPH, overactive bladder and incontinence, hematuria and elevated PSA work-ups, kidney stones, urinary tract infections, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, and post-operative and cancer-surveillance visits.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with primary care physicians and specialists.
  • Perform and manage office procedures within your scope and training, such as cystoscopy, catheter and suprapubic tube changes, bladder instillations (BCG and chemotherapy), PTNS, urodynamics interpretation, testosterone pellet implantation, and injection therapies.
  • Round on hospitalized urology patients at Cape Cod Hospital on a shared weekday-morning schedule with the APP team.
  • Provide telehealth visits where clinically appropriate and respond to patient portal messages and clinical calls for your panel.
  • Educate patients and families, document in the electronic medical record, and participate in quality and peer-review activities.

OUR PRACTICE & SUPPORT

  • Largest urology practice on Cape Cod, with a 40+ year referral network and strong patient demand across two office locations.
  • Collegial group of board-certified and fellowship-trained urologists; a physician is always available for consultation.
  • Existing APP team of two Nurse Practitioners and two Physician Assistants to orient and support you.
  • Structured onboarding: your first 90 days are paired with a physician and a senior APP, with your own patient panel built up gradually.
  • Dedicated Medical Assistant and scheduling support, in-house ultrasound performed by certified sonographers, and an in-house chemistry lab.
  • Full back-office team handling prior authorizations, payer relations, credentialing, and licensure, so your time stays clinical.
  • Office-based cystoscopy, ultrasound, and MRI-fusion prostate biopsy; surgical partners with full access to Cape Cod Hospital's robotic and laser technology.

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

  • Monday–Friday clinic schedule with shared weekday-morning hospital rounding; no overnight call. A compressed four-day week can be discussed at interview.
  • Competitive salary based on experience, with a productivity component (details discussed at interview).
  • Professional liability insurance paid by the practice; licenses, DEA registration, and approved professional dues covered.
  • CME allowance and paid CME time.

BENEFITS

  • Health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and HMO options), Delta Dental, and EyeMed vision; practice pays 60% of premiums.
  • 401(k) with safe-harbor contribution and profit-sharing provisions, eligible after one year of service.
  • Paid vacation, sick/family days, and bereavement leave.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Massachusetts licensure (or eligibility) as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C); national board certification.
  • DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration (or eligibility).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Urology, surgical, or hospital-based experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
  • Confident, compassionate communicator who enjoys building long-term relationships with patients.
