Job Summary / OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Application Systems Analyst / Programmer specializing in Tableau Administration for a key state government project with the State of Connecticut. This is a hybrid role requiring candidates to be local to Connecticut and work onsite in Hartford 1 day per week.
In this role, you will lead the Tableau Cloud administration, manage Salesforce objects and user security, and utilize strong SQL and Azure SQL database skills to drive reporting solutions from requirements gathering to full implementation.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support Tableau Cloud administration, dashboards, and enterprise reporting/analytics platforms.
Handle Salesforce configuration including objects, fields, relationships, user management (roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), and apply design best practices.
Write strong SQL queries and work closely with Azure SQL Databases or similar relational environments.
Drive complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) phases, translating business requests into robust implementations and maintaining technical documentation.
Partner with the Salesforce Architect and management to contribute to design decisions, resource planning, and work estimation.
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
5+ years of professional experience in systems analysis, database management, or BI/reporting administration.
Hands-on expertise with Tableau Cloud administration and support.
Deep knowledge of Salesforce objects, declarative logic, and user access management.
Strong SQL skills and working experience with Azure SQL Database.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work proactively and independently as a self-starter.
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) or MuleSoft integrations.
Microsoft Azure ecosystem experience.
