Job Description

Salary: $75,000 - 115,000 per year Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, plus a two-year vocational/technical associate degree in Drafting and Design or equivalent
• 10 or more years of related experience
• Operational knowledge of AutoCAD and CADWorx 3D modeling software
• At least one year of experience using the Aeries CARS Cable and Raceway Systems database
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows environment
• Ability to understand design components and produce detailed drawings in assigned disciplines
• Strong accountability, accuracy, communication, customer service, attention to detail, interpersonal, organizational, time-management, conceptual-thinking, and technical skills

• Perform design work using our standards and engineering practices, with guidance from a Drafting Manager
• Create 3D models in AutoCAD and produce scaled and unscaled drawings for assigned projects
• Delegate work to drafters on assigned projects
• Print, plot, and file drawings
• Travel occasionally for short periods to collect field data as project assignments require
• Prioritize, schedule, plan, and complete fast-paced assignments
• Communicate with engineers, designers, vendors, management, and other personnel with varied technical backgrounds
• Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of completed work
• Bring potential project problems and possible solutions to the attention of the responsible person
